Directions
Melt butter in skillet over medium heat, add apples, cook, stirring occasionally for about 8 - 10 minutes until softened or lightly browned.
Whisk together cream and next 4 ingredients in a large bowl and whisk together. Stir in bread crumbs, let stand 5 minutes. Stir in cooked apples.
Butter inside of 12 in. dutch oven. Pour in pudding mixture, spread out evenly.
Cook at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes then top coals and reduce bottom heat. Continue to cook for another 30 - 35 minutes or until golden brown.
Whisk together cream, egg yolks, sugar and Jack Daniels in a bowl. Cook in a sauce pan over medium heat, for about 5 - 8 minutes, whisking constantly. Mixture is ready when it coats the back of a spoon. Pour sauce into a bowl. Fill another larger bowl half full of ice. Place bowl containing sauce mixture in ice and let stand stirring constantly until chilled and slightly thickened. Cover and continue chilling for 1 hour or until ready to serve.
