Topping: 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup uncooked old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats 1/2 cup packed light-brown sugar 1 cup cold butter or margarine, cut in small pieces Heat oven to 375°F. Grease two 8-inch square baking dishes. To make filling, mix all ingredients thoroughly in a large bowl. Spread evenly in prepared baking dishes. To make topping, mix flour, oats and sugar in a medium-size bowl. With pastry blender or 2 knives cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apple filling and press down firmly. Bake 45 minutes or until topping has browned and filling is bubbly. Serve one warm or at room temperature. Cool, wrap and freeze the other one for a later meal. To Defrost and serve, thaw to room temperature or reheat in 300°F oven. Makes two, 4 generous servings each.
