Apple Ratafia

Directions

Puree apples or grapes in batches in processor. Strain through fine sieve, pressing on solids with back of spoon. Mix 4 cups apple puree or grape juice with Calvados or brandy (reserve any remaining puree or juice for another use). Pour into bottles. Seal tightly. Let stand in cool dark place at least 2 weeks or up to 1 year (sediment will gradually drop to bottom of bottle, leaving a clear liqueur). Pour into glasses to serve. drinks 26
