Apricot Nut Bread

Directions

In a small bowl, soak apricots in brandy. Beat egg, gradually adding sugars. Add oil. Sift flour again with baking powder, soda, Allspice and salt. Stir water and flour mixture into eggs. Fold in apricots and nuts. Pour batter into a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan and bake in a 350°F. oven 1 hour or until done. Makes 1 loaf. Glaze: Mix 1 cup sifted confectioners sugar with 3 tablespoons lemon juice. Drizzle over bread while still warm. Garnish with additional apricot pieces. bake 22
