Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease baking sheets. Crack candies in wrappers into small pieces with hammer. Unwrap into bowl. Set aside. Sift flour, baking soda and salt together. Melt butter and chocolate with sugar and corn syrup in heavy medium saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Cool 5 minutes. Add egg, yolk and vanilla and mix until smooth. Add dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Spoon batter by slightly mounded teaspoonfuls onto prepared sheets, spacing 2 inches apart and keeping round shape. Bake until cookies are just firm around edge, about 17 minutes. Sprinkle generously with candies. Bake 1 minute longer. Cool slightly. Transfer cookies to rack and cool completely.
