Cream butter and sugar. Sift together flour and remaining dry ingredients; add alternately with sour cream to creamed mixture. fold in apples. Spray 9-cup tube pan with PAM (or grease and flour). Pour in batter. Bake in preheated 350 degrees oven for 45 - 50 minutes; turn out on wire rack to complete cooling. Glaze with Glaze #1 is desired (see frosting section).
