3 eggs 6 tablespoons milk 2-1/2 6x4-inch sourdough bread slices Freshly ground pepper 1/4 lb. mozzarella cheese, grated (about 1 cup) 1/4 lb. sharp cheddar cheese, grated (about 1 cup) 2 green onions, minced 1/3 cup rinsed and drained sliced purchased roasted red peppers 2 thin ham slices Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 9x5 inch glass loaf pan. Beat eggs and milk in shallow pan. Soak bread in egg mixture 5 minutes. Arrange half of soaked bread in prepared loaf pan. Season generously with pepper. Add half of each cheese. Sprinkle with half of green onions and half of peppers. Cover with ham. Top with remaining cheeses, onions and peppers. Cover with remaining bread. Pour any remaining egg mixture over. Season with pepper. Bake until brown and cheese bubbles, about 40 minutes. Cool slightly. brunch 09
