JERICALLA (CUSTARD) MEXICAN RECIPE

Directions

In microwave, bring milk, sugar and cinnamon to a boil, then let cool.

Beat eggs together with egg yolks. Add one cup of the milk mixture. Mix thoroughly, then add the remaining milk. Strain.

Grease a baking dish with butter, and fill it with the mixture. Place dish in a pan of water, and bake in a moderate oven (about 350 degrees) until the custard sets and the top is golden brown. Cool and serve.

My note: Try sprinkling with sugar near the end of cooking and broil the top like creme brulee

NOTE: This custard can also be prepared in individual Pyrex dishes.
