My friend, Linda, makes this dessert all fall and winter, using the apples from her backyard mini-orchard. Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and beat until creamy. Sift dry ingredients together and add to egg mixture. Stir. Add chopped nuts and apples. Bake in a 7 x 11greased pan at 350 about 40 mins. Cool in pan and cut into squares.
