Place all the ingredients except salt in a large pitcher and mix well. Rub the rims of 6 oversized martini glasses or other cocktail glasses with a squeezed lime half, just enough to wet the rim. Dip one half of each rim into salt to lightly coat it, (By coating only one half of the rim, your guests can choose to drink with or without salt.) Strain the liquid into the glasses and serve.
