Directions
Cut butter into flour until mixture like a coarse meal. Add cheese and milk. Toss lightly and mix until dough just begins to hold together. On floured surface, knead just until dough holds together. Dust surface with flour again. With floured rolling pin, roll dough to about 1/4-inch thick. Cut into strips about 3 or 4 inches long. Twist each strip to form spiral and put on ungreased cookie sheet pressing ends of strips gently to slightly adhere to cookie sheet. Bake at 400° 12 to 15 minutes until crisp and light brown. Makes about 3 dozen cheese straws.
