Someone asked about this recipe...it was posted on the old list. So, for the newcomers and oldtimers here it is! It is originally from the Dollar Stretcher newsletter (sorry I dont have the name of the person who sent it in). It works great and is very good (my dh, who likes sugar on his cheerios doesnt think it is quite sweet enough though...but it is just right for my kids and me). If you use the packets of ready to go oatmeal and switch to this you will save alot of $ ! BTW - I store mine in frig in a plastic icecream container! Mix together well. To serve: put 1/2C cup oatmeal mix into cereal bowl, add 1C water and microwave 2 - 2 1/2 min. Let stand 3-4 min. *my own notes ~ I also add dry milk powder to the oatmeal mix (Ithink it was a cup or so that I used). I usually do this on the stovetop.
