Directions
Stir water and sugar in medium-size saucepan to dissolve sugar. Add vanilla and peppercorns. Boil over medium heat 4 minutes without stirring. Add berries. Cook, covered, without stirring until soft, 4 minutes. Push through sieve, extracting liquid and pulp. Discard peppercorns; remove vanilla. Combine pineapple, kirsch, salt and berry mixture in processor. Whirl until smooth. Pour into 9 x 9 x 2-inch metal pan. Cover with plastic wrap; freeze, 3 hours. When mixture starts to set around edges, pull in toward center with spoon. Freeze up to a week. . Let sit 15 minutes before serving.
