Plum-peach Crisp

FILLING 2-3/4 lbs. plums, pitted, cut into 1/2-inch wedges 4 medium peaches, peeled, pitted, cut into 1/2-inch wedges 1/2 cup sugar 2 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice Pinch of salt Vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt For topping: Combine all ingredients in processor. Using on/off turns, process until mixture forms small moist clumps. (Can be prepared 1 day ahead. Cover and refrigerate.) For filling: Mix first 6 ingredients in bowl. Let stand at least 30 minutes and up to 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Position rack in center of oven and preheat to 350° F. Butter 8x8x2-inch glass baking dish. Spoon filling into prepared dish. Sprinkle topping over. Bake until fruit is tender and topping is brown and crisp, about 45 minutes. Spoon warm crisp into deep bowls. Place scoop of ice cream atop and serve. 6 servings dess150
