Directions
Heat oven to 400ºF.
Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
Beat sugar, butter and eggs in large bowl. just until well-combined Add flour mixture.
Shape dough into 1 1/4-inch balls. Or use #50 scopper.
For coating: Mix 1/4 cup sugar and the cinnamon. Roll balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
Marys Notes: Using #70 disher, made 33 cookies. A little small so try #50 next time. Cookies were just OK. Might have creamed the wet ingredients too much because dough was very fluffy. Above recipe has 1/2 tsp vanilla added as in other recipes. Also upd the cinnamon to 3 teaspoons
