Directions
Pour 1 1/2 cup flour into a large bowl, and add in seasonings : garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, celery seed, poultry seasoning, and smoked paprika. Mix until well incorporated.
Coat chicken with seasoned flour. Reserve the seasoned flour
Pour 1/4 cup of vegetable oil into a large pan, then place the plan over medium heat. Add chicken, but dont over-crowd.
Cook the chicken until it is golden brown. It will not be done. Will cook more when smothered. Remove. Leave oil in pan
Toss in onions, cook until growned. Ad garlic and cook a minute. Remove to a plate.
Saute carrots. Add celery after few minutes. Cover to speed up, if desired. Remove to plate.
Add 2 tablespoons oil to pan. Whisk in 3 tablespoons of seasoned flour. Cook couple minutes whisking constantly. Whisk in 2 cups of chicken broth until no lumps
Let the gravy cook for about 2 minutes, then pour in 1 cup of milk into the pan.
Let the creamy gravy cook for about 3 minutes, then add the vegetables, then the chicken. Make sure all of the chicken is coated with the creamy gravy.
Cover the pan, then let the chicken cook for 30-35 minutes.
Once done serve the chicken with rice or mashed potatoes. Or try buttermilk biscuits
