1/2 cup sugar 1/3 cup lemon juice 3 cups club soda, chilled Ice cubes Lemon wedges (optional) Prechill 1 -quart pitcher and four 12-oz. glasses. Combine sugar and lemon juice in chilled pitcher, stirring every 5 minutes until sugar is completely dissolved. To serve, add club soda to syrup. Place several ice cubes in the chilled glasses. Pour into each. Garnish with lemon, if you wish. Syrup mixture can be made ahead and refrigerated for 3 days.
