Very Boysenberry Sorbet

Directions

In a small saucepan combine the water and sugar. Bring to boiling; remove from heat. Cool; chill. In a blender container or food processor bowl place the berries. Cover and blend till smooth. Press the berries through a sieve to remove. Combine the chilled sugar mixture, sieved berries, lemon peel, and juice; stir till well blended. Turn into an 8x4x2-inch loaf pan; cover and freeze till almost firm. Break the mixture into chunks; turn into a chilled mixer bowl. Beat with an electric mixer till smooth. Return to a cold pan; cover and freeze firm. Let stand at room temperature 5 minutes before serving. Makes about 1 pint sorbet.
