Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour loaf Pan, about 8 x 4 x 2 1/2 inches. Combine all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, caraway seeds and salt in small bowl; stir to mix well. Cream together butter, sugar and orange or lemon rind in large bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gently stir in flour mixture, apple and walnuts just to combine. Spread batter in prepared pan. Bake in preheated 350° oven 55 to 60 minutes until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool on wire rack. Nutrient Value Per Serving: 189 calories, 4 g protein, 10 g Fat, 23 g carbohydrate, 180 mg sodium, 50 mg cholesterol. bake 46
