Hazelnut Thumbprint Cookies

Directions

Orange marmalade and/or raspberry preserves Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine flour and salt in small bowl. Using electric mixer, cream butter in large bowl until fluffy. Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Mix in yolk and vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients and nuts. Form dough into 1 -inch balls. Arrange on ungreased baking sheet, spacing 1-1/2 inches apart. Make depression in center of each using fingertip or handle of wooden spoon. Bake 10 minutes. Fill depressions with marmalade and/ or preserves. Continue baking until cookies begin to color, about 10 minutes Cool on rack. Store airtight. Makes about 2 dozen cook 040
